Healthier greens start with healthier soil.

Introducing the first Regenerative Organic Spring Mix!

At Earthbound Farm, some regenerative growing practices have always been part of our organic farming approach. We began our expansion of regenerative organic farming practices 4 years ago at one of our ranches in California with practices that help restore soil health and care for the land over time. Through a series of crop management, tillage reduction, and habitat development, we began our journey toward Regenerative Organic Certification and today, we’re proud to have achieved it at the Bronze level.

The Evolution of Regenerative Farming

Organic Farming

Organic farming is a commitment to cleaner, more responsible growing. By avoiding toxic synthetic chemicals and GMOs, and relying on practices like crop rotation, intercropping, and biologicals (naturally-derived tools such as microbes that support healthy soil and plant growth), organic farming works in harmony with nature. Backed by USDA certification, it’s a trusted approach that helps care for the land while growing food and people can feel good about bringing to the table.

Regenerative Organic Farming

Regenerative organic farming builds on the best practices of organic farming and prioritizes soil health as a way to help fight climate change. Regenerative Organic Certified® starts with USDA Certified Organic standards and adds rigorous third-party certification by using practices like consistent cover cropping, reduced tillage, and beneficial insectary plantings. The result is farming that doesn’t just sustain the earth but continuously improves it, restoring balance across the entire ecosystem, supporting biodiversity, and leaving the land better than we found it.

First Regenerative Organic Certified® Spring Mix

As the original organic salad farmer, we’re proud to bring the first Regenerative Organic (ROC) Spring Mix to your table! These greens are grown on our regenerative organic ranch in California using practices that help restore soil health and improve the land over time. We think that’s something well worth the extra effort.

regenerative farming practices

Enhancing Biodiversity

Increasing the variety of plants and beneficial organisms to strengthen ecosystem health and natural resilience.

Cover Cropping

Planting crops between growing seasons to protect soil from erosion, increase organic matter, and naturally return nutrients back into the ground.

Conservation Tillage

Minimizing soil disturbance to protect soil structure, reduce erosion, and support beneficial soil microbes.

Intercropping

Growing different crops alongside one another to support biodiversity, soil health, and a more resilient ecosystem.

Rotating Crops

Planting different crops in the same field from season to season to naturally replenish and maintain healthy soil.

Promoting Healthy Ecosystems

Using targeted irrigation and soil-building practices to retain moisture, reduce runoff, and make the most of every drop of water.
