  • 2 pounds Earthbound Farm Frozen Organic Triple Berry Blend
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon butter

  • 12 tablespoon cold butter
  • 2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

A crispy crust is the perfect topper to the burst of summer berries in this classic American fruit dessert.

This crisp is sized for a party, but the recipe is simple to cut in half with the same delicious result.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Stir together the frozen berries, sugar, flour and butter in a large mixing bowl. The mixture will not combine evenly. Place the entire amount in an 8×10-inch baking dish.

In a separate bowl, combine all of the topping ingredients. Using your fingertips, break up the butter into smaller pieces, mizing it with the rest of the ingredients as much as possible. The mixture should not be sticky.

Sprinkle as much of the topping as you like over the berry mixture in the baking dish. (You can save any extra topping in the freezer, tightly wrapped, for another time.)

Bake the crisp for about 35 minutes, until the berry mixture is bubbling around the edges. Cool before spooning into bowls. Serve with ice cream, if desired.
