Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 5 ounce Earthbound Farm Organic Kale Italia
  • 2/3 cup canned diced tomatoes
  • 12 ounce Italian-style chicken sausage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper

Our Kale Italia greens make absolutely fabulous partners for a sauté.

In this hearty skillet recipe, their zesty, earthy flavors really shine. Savory sausage, sweet peppers and tender greens make a satisfying combo that’s easy enough for a busy weeknight supper.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion, pepper and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 15 minutes.

Add the sausage, tomatoes and greens. Sauté, stirring frequently, for about 3 to 4 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Delicious served with a grain pilaf, a creamy bean purée or a hearty pasta.

    We made this tonight with items we received from our Imperfect Foods, we had feta cheese chicken sausage, kale and red peppers. It was delicious! Thank you for this great recipe.
