  • 1 cup Earthbound Farm Organic Spring Mix
  • 8 oz. Almond milk
  • 2-4 oz. water (depending on desired consistency)
  • 1 Banana, fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup zucchini, steamed and then frozen
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1-2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder (your preference)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of Celtic sea salt
  • Handful of ice
  • *Optional toppings: fresh grated zucchini and cacao nibs

    This smoothie was super easy, filling, long lasting, and DELICIOUS! I plan to have this many, many more mornings (maybe even tomorrow). I highly recommend it.

    • Great question! Veggies all need to be par-cooked before freezing because freezing destroys their cell structure and so they turn to mush if not par-cooked beforehand. Fruits have more sugars in them, which helps protect their quality and color during freezing, so they are not typically par-cooked in advance.
