If you’ve been following us on Instagram or Facebook—or subscribe to our newsletter—you have probably seen us drop some hints about changes on the horizon for Earthbound Farm. We’re pleased to officially announce the new look and feel of our organic packaging, which is coming soon to a produce shelf near you!

What’s not changing? Our commitment to bringing you the delicious, USDA-certified organic produce you love and trust. But the redesign is an important and exciting milestone in the evolution of Earthbound Farm.

To give you a little bit of history, in 1984, Drew and Myra Goodman founded Earthbound Farm on a 2 ½ acre organic raspberry patch in Carmel Valley, Calif. At first they sold mostly organic raspberries and culinary herbs but soon started growing baby greens. In 1986, they were the first to successfully launch packaged salad in retail. Read more about our founding story.

Over time, and as we grew, our package design evolved. However, it’s been a while since our last sprucing. And now that we’re…ahem…“thirty-something” we thought it was time for a makeover to keep our youthful glow. Check out this video depicting this evolution and unveiling our new packaging. We hope you agree that it reflects our belief that we’re the happiest organics under the sun and brings a little extra sunshine to your refrigerator!

As with any major packaging change, there will be a transition period during which you’ll likely see the old and new packages on shelf depending on the product; and our frozen items won’t transition until early next year. Please bear with us. Despite their different outfits, our delicious products remain the same!

And as you start to see the new packaging in your local stores, snap and share some pics using #EarthboundFarm, and let us know what you think about our new look!
