We’re headed into the season with some of the most incredible food — and most powerful temptations. If you’ve (over)indulged in holiday deliciousness, jump back into your healthy eating habits with a week of healthy, tasty mornings powered by 7 of our favorite smoothie recipes!

Our nutrition expert, Ashley Koff, RD, appreciates the incredible power of liquid nutrients in smoothies. Her advice:

  1. Starting your morning with a glass of water helps hydrate your body and cleanse your palate. Or fill your smoothie glass with water and drink it after your smoothie to help your body use the smoothie’s fiber efficiently.
  2. These smoothies are compete nutrition "pit stops," which should give you plenty of energy. If you need coffee or tea in the morning, have it black or plain, or reserve your latte for a few hours before or after to avoid carb overload.
  3. As always, aim to eat a rainbow of foods. If your smoothie delivers green and blue, for example, go for red, yellow, white and purple at lunch or at other nutrition pit stops during the day.
